Overview:

The ARC Fractal Breakout Algo is an automated trading solution for Ninjatrader which leverages the opening range breakout strategy and it provides a variety of ways to implement this style of trading. When the cash market opens, there is a flood of volume and price action as traders position themselves for the day. After an initial range is established, there are 2 potential trade setups – a breakout to the upside or downside. The Fractal is the time window that defines the high and low breakout points. The software allows you to define any start time and fractal length and even allows for multiple time fractals throughout the day. The Fractal definitions are fully flexible and customizable. You can choose to only take the first breakout trade or you can also take the reversal trade if/when the market trades back through the Fractal zone. When trading breakouts, the speed of automation is essential for capturing these setups more quickly than is feasible with manual trading, making this automated system an excellent tool for capitalizing on Fractal based breakout trade opportunities.

You can use this tool to just trade the opening range breakout or you can optimize for fractal patterns throughout the day. The software is designed to make it easy to fine tune the signal generator for your favorite instruments. Once you have decided on what fractals to focus on you can use the optimizer to find the best settings for each market. Next forward test your strategy in live simulation mode. Once you are comfortable with the performance in Sim, you can start auto trading a live money account at your own discretion.
